ABOUT
STPI
SOFTWARE
TECHNOLOGY PARKS OF INDIA (STPI), was
set-up in 1991 by
the Department of Electronics (now under Department of Information
Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information
Technology, MCIT), Government of India to Promote and Facilitate Software
Exports from India. STPI is registered as a Scientific Society under
the Society Registration Act 1860.
The
society implements the Software Technology Park (STP)
Scheme of the Government of India to provide an impetus to
the Software (products and services) Exporters of the country. The scheme is administered by
the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Government of India through
the Directors of respective Software Technology Parks setup at
various locations in India.
Mandate
The
Software Technology Parks of India's Mandate is to Provide
STPI
also offers incubation facilities with readily usable
infrastructure for the small & medium sized entrepreneurs (SMEs)
to promote growth of software exporters.
